Caring for your cotton sheets.

Wash Instructions. We highly recommend that you wash the sheets alone to prevent other items from getting dangled or caught up in them. In particular, do not wash your sheets with bath towels as they can be quite abrasive.

Cotton sheets are best washed with a mild detergent on a gentle wash cycle. Warm water is preferred. Do not use bleach or other chemical softeners as these will weaken natural cotton fibers. If you are looking to brighten white sheets, add a quarter to half a cup of lemon juice to your wash cycle. This will whiten sheets naturally without the harmful effects of bleach.

Drying Instructions. Unlike polyester blends, pure cotton sheets will wrinkle in the wash. Line drying under a gentle sun will smooth out most wrinkles. Sun drying has the added benefit of brightening white sheets. Nothing comes close to the fresh smell of sun dried laundry.

If using a dryer, gently shake and smooth the linen before placing it in the dryer on a low heat setting. For perfectly pressed sheets like you see in the hotels, some light ironing will be needed.

In general, high heat and harsh chemicals will damage natural cotton fibers. We placed the highest requirements in producing our Cotton Signature Collection sheets. They are soft right out of the box and will continue to soften over time with every wash. These sheets will go a long way for you if cared for properly.
